Welcome to the virtual launch of Infrastructure Australia's first Infrastructure Market Capacity report.

An Australian-first, the Infrastructure Market Capacity report provides a comprehensive understanding of the supply and demand of the skills and materials critical to public infrastructure pipeline, and associated risks in planning and delivery.

It will enable decision-makers to better understand the capacity of the market to deliver the nation’s unprecedented public infrastructure pipeline and inform Australia's recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

In March 2020, the Council of Australian Governments requested that Infrastructure Australia report on the capacity of the market to deliver a record investment in major public infrastructure projects noting increasing concerns about supply and demand for skills and materials.

The inaugural Infrastructure Market Capacity report provides a comprehensive evidence base to inform infrastructure decision making.

  • Detailed analysis of shortages expected in skills and labour, demand for materials, and risks in planning and delivery
  • Hear from Infrastructure Australia's Chief Executive, Romilly Madew AO FTSE, and Chief of Policy and Research, Peter Colacino on the importance of a collaborative reform agenda and ongoing data sharing
  • Panel discussion featuring Jon Davies, Chief Executive of the Australian Constructors’ Association and Nicola Grayson, Chief Executive of Consult Australia
